Hot Summer Days, Cool Summer Nights

Well, it's been a devilish summer, complete with deception, intrigue, and adventure!

Well, OK, not so much of the first two, but adventure? DEFNETLY!

About a month ago, one of the persons I let live with me was having a party, and it kind of freaked me out, and the doors were open, and... I ran OUTSIDE!

Now, you may not know this about me, but I used to be quite the outdoorswoman! I would spend days outside, protecting my teritory, catching field mice, not to mention the bunnies that bopped them on the heads!

But then I decided to start staying indoors, let the younger catz take over and ease into retirement.

So, you can imagine my surprise when I found myself outside in a land I had only evar smelled, but never really experienced.

Although I had fun, I am happy to be home again, not least of all because PF was so worried about me she almost CRIED! I hate to see her do that, so I'll try not to do that again.

back to chillaxin

It's been a rough few weeks around here.  First PF stayed up way past her bedtime for many nights.  I scolded her and tried to sit on the computer, but instead of bowing to my commands, she tried to scold me!  well, I showed her an hardly slept with her at all.  

But then I realized the error of my ways when one night she stayed up very late and then took what you humans call a "cat nap" and then got up extremely early and left.  

and then there was a horrible time of not knowing.  when would she be back?  how long had it been?  would the Others remember to feed me and pet me?  Do they even know the right way to rub my belly?!?!  Dear God, it was awful!

But then she came back and she was very sorry, so I forgave her after a few minutes and we snuggled.

Now she keeps saying she will be gone again soon, but I am choosing to ignore that and keep living in the moment.  doing like I do.

and this is me tonight as I'm writing to you.  As you can see, I am a still a little frazzled and staying very close to PF!

Catching Up

Hello! Winifred T. Katt here! I have some pictures for you! The first two are me sitting at my computer, writing to you all!

I admit I have not been doing much of this lately, and that's because it's so cold!










Person Films wanted to try and help me warm up in our cold new house...so she got me some d.o.g. outfits! Can you believe this woman?! But...I actually really liked this first one! The o;y problem are the arm holes. Since the sweater is for doggies, the arm holes are in the wrong place for my feline phsique! But, I didn't want to take it off!





Now, this one was a bit more uncomfortable, because it made it really hard to walk. But it also came on and off easyier, so after PF took the pictures she took it right off again. maybe I will send it to my cousin Peanut. I think it makes me look a bit like a thug, so maybe it will help him when he comes across big scary dogs where he lives.

the sympol life

There has been a lot going on around here...on a recent morning PF got up around the same time as Comrade Landlord 1, when it was still DARK outside! I could not believe this and was not happy about it at all! Then later PF and Comrade 2 were having a nice quiet evening. I jumped up and down from their laps, teasing them both equally as I picked up some extra petting for the week. Yes, the only down side was that PF kept yelling in a scary voice when all I was dooing was stretching out on MY rug! Shhesh!

But then the evening went to hell in handbasket! PF used her buzzy thing and when she put it down again they were very bouncy. Then PF left and didn't come back for a very long time, when she did she said, "you don't even know baby head, but a very good thing happened tonight!"

Now, I don't know what that could possibly have been, because I had not had a good day, but PF seems less worryd -- for other feline and K9 readers, this worrying thing is something my People do a lot. I don't know why, it is very silly, but you can feel it when they stop, and that is nice!

I am glad I do not have to worry, and that I lead a sympol life of sleep and play --- and hunting. The other big news is that I caught TWO mice this week...but I don't want to brag or anything.

Home, home on the Range...oven range that is!

I has a new home! PF and I moved in with two other persons who I am slowly getting used to.

This is a short post, so here's the exciting part! there are mices in this house! it is a great big house and was very nasty before we moved in, so mices had thought THEY could live here, and made the oven their home! Well, after I realized we weren't leaving, I dusted off my skillz and got to work! I should them mices what for and they hightailed it outta here!

So, when you have to do a big scary move, just remember there is usually a mice at the end of the tunnel!
